We are happy to assist anyone wishing to arrange a visit to our archives for research. Research can be done at the following locations: Franconia location, Paumgarten Archival Building, and our North Conway location storage space.
Access to the archives is only available with an advance appointment. Research requests can be submitted via email to our curator at cathryn@skimuseum.org. All requests will be answered as time allows. Priority is given to Members.

Image Use Policy
New England Ski Museum will comply with requests for photographs and images from its collection as possible within the limits of image ownership and staff time.
The Museum cannot supply images for which known copyright restrictions exist, but because information on certain images in the collection may be unknown, all responsibility for questions of copyright is assumed by the user.
Permission is granted for one-time use only. Subsequent use requires permission of the Museum and payment of additional fees.
Credit must be given to the New England Ski Museum and to the creator if known.
The Museum requests a sample copy of the work.
Use fees apply. Orders need to be prepaid (credit card or check) unless previous credit arrangements exist. Call the Museum at (603) 823-7177 to pay by credit card or mail checks to: New England Ski Museum, 135 Tramway Dr., Franconia, NH 03580-4403.
Image use fees for Museum members in good standing are waived up to a total of $60, and are discounted by 50% for amounts over $60.
Most images in digital form are in TIFF format at 300 dpi or higher.

Conference Room
A large conference room is located in the Paumgarten Building, funded with a donation from the New England Ski Areas Council. It’s a useful space for researchers to spread their work out, and is used for quarterly meetings of the Museum’s Board of Directors.
